Competitive Ruling: Forg1ven suspended for toxic behavior

After investigation, Gambit Gaming's ADC Forg1ven has been suspended for four LCS games due to his toxic behavior over the past month. The length of Forg1ven's suspension was chosen in order to maintain consistentancy with Stixxay's June suspension. Forg1ven has previously received a $1000 fine in 2014 for toxic behavior.

Gambit makes a statement on the Forg1ven ruling

Gambit Gaming was notified of Forg1ven's investigation by Riot Games on July 13th. While they believed they would avoid the worst case scenario of a temporary suspension, Gambit Gaming did add three players to its substitute roster on July 15th, including former Fnatic ADC Steeelback.

H2K adds betongJocke as Substitute Jungler

H2K Gaming added betongJocke, Jungler for EUCS team Denial eSports, to its substitute roster today. Loulex remains the starter for H2K Gaming and played both of their Week 9 EU LCS Matches.

Elements add Arin1 to their substitute roster

Elements added Arin1 to their roster as a substitute top laner today. Arin1 is a EUW Challenger Tier top laner known for playing mostly Aatrox.

Patch 5.14 notes released

The newest League of Legends patch notes, 5.14 were revealed. Highlights of the patch include Gangplank's rework, Miss Fortune's rework and the new item Zeke's Harbinger. The patch went live on July 22nd.

Fiora Champion Update

The newest champion update, Fiora, was revealed today. All of Fiora's skills have been reworked, and she received a completely new passive and ultimate. Fiora also received a visual update to her splashes, effects, and in-game model.

RUMOR: XiaoWeiXiao suspected of ELO-Boosting

Several screenshots (previously sent anonymously to Riot Games) of a conversation about ELO Boosting surfaced today. The translated conversation appears between Team Impulse Xiaoweixiao and an unknown buyer, where XiaoWeiXiao requests money in exchange for playing on his account. Also found was an account that showed a win pattern consistent with ELO Boosting that used similar champions, runes, and builds to XiaoWeiXiao.

CONFIRMED: XiaoWeiXiao suspended pending ELO-Boosting investigation

Associate eSports Manager Hunter Leigh confirmed today on Twitter that XiaoWeiXiao had admitted to ELO Boosting. He has been suspended from the LCS pending his investigation.

Calitrlolz to step down from Team 8

Team 8 top laner Calitrlolz confirmed today that he would be stepping down from Team 8 at the end of the split. While he has yet to release a statement, it is speculated that he is retiring from competitive League of Legends and returning to school.

Kelsey Moser AMA

Kelsey Moser, currently a writer for The Score Esports, had an AMA today. Moser was one of the original LPL casters and spent most of her time bringing LPL news and analysis to English audiences.

Gambit Gaming replace Forg1ven with Moopz

Gambit Gaming announced today that despite its three substitute ADCs, none were able to step in for Week 9 in the wake of Forg1ven's suspension. Genja was unavailable and both P1noy and Steeelback were already playing for NACS teams. With few remaining options, Gambit Gaming decided to use Moopz as their substitute ADC as he was more comfortable in the role than ImSoFresh, their remaining substitute player. Moopz played ADC in both of Gambit Gaming's Week 9 LCS matches.

Team Impulse makes a statement regarding XiaoWeiXiao's misconduct

Team Impulse announced today that XiaoWeiXiao's ELO Boosting misconduct had been an isolated incident that the other players, the coaches, and the management were unaware of. Team Impulse's General Manager Alex Gu stressed that Team Impulse takes misconducts of this type very seriously, and are taking steps to ensure that they do not occur in the future. Team Impulse is also considering its own internal punishment of XiaoWeiXiao. XiaoWeiXiao apologized in a statement to Riot Games, his fans, and his teammates for his behavior, and assured everyone that it was both the first and last time he ELO Boosts. No statement was made regarding Team Impulse's lineup for Week 9 NA LCS games.

ESL to begin testing for performance enhancing drugs

ESL has partnered with the Nationale Anti Doping Agentur (NADA) and the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) to create an anti-Performance-Enhancing-Drug (PED) policy that is fair, feasible and conclusive. They will also create a PED Prevention program encompassing all all players participating in competitions organized, hosted or produced by ESL. While these policies are being discussed, the ESL will be administering their first PED skin tests on August 22/23 at ESL One Cologne.

RUMOR: Gillius leaves the Unicorns of Love

After his acquisition on July 14th, Unicorns of Love announced today that Gillius would be "heading home". It is suspected that he is, at the very least, no longer the starting jungler for UoL. Gillius played both of UoL's Week 8 LCS games.

SPOILER: Fnatic sets new LCS record

Fnatic won their final game of the EU LCS Summer Split to finish with an impressive 18-0 record, setting a new LCS Record of 18 regular season wins in a row. The previous record of 13 win was set by Cloud 9 during the 2013 NA LCS Summer Split.

Shook, former Jungler for the Copenhagen Wolves, announced today on Twitter that he is now a free agent looking for a new team.

Ward Skin Selections in Champion Select heads to the PBE

It was announced today that Ward Skin Selection in champion select was moving to the PBE. While both Skins and Chromas could be changed in champion select on the live servers, currently the only way to change your selected Ward Skin is in the Store Page.

RUMOR: OMG.North potentially cheated in Game 2 of IG vs OMG

Several screenshots from coverage of Game 2 of IG vs OMG appear to show OMG's ADC north with his headset not completely covering his ears. This would be a violation of the LPL ruleset, as the players are required to have their ears covered by soundproof headsets at all times during gameplay and pauses. No official statement has been made at this time.

RUMOR: Keith returns to university

Team Solo Mid substitute ADC Keith has made statements on twitter to the effect that he has left Los Angeles and is currently exploring his university. He has also been taken out of the credits of the latest edition of TSM Legends. Finally, Keith has a tweet exchange with Nintendude to the effect that Keith "missed the cut," implying that TSM chose not to retain him. It is speculated that he has left TSM to return to school, and that Wildturtle will remain TSM's ADC for the forseeable future.

RUMOR: H0R0 to jungle for Unicorns of Love in EU LCS Semifinals

A reddit post today claimed that Vizicsacsi stated on his stream today that the Unicorns of Love would be playing H0R0 as their Jungler for the EU LCS Semifinal match. H0R0 is one of UoL's three jungler substitutes, along with Airwaks and Gillius, who is rumored to have departed from the team.

Adrian returns to Team Impulse

After stepping down from active play the week before, TiP Adrian returns to Team Impulse's active roster in the wake of XiaoWeiXiao's suspension. Alongside recent addition TiP Gate in midlane, Adrian played support in both of Team Impulse's Week 9 LCS Matches.
