Purdue Professor charged

So this article is crazy but leaves me with a couple questions.

What were the original Meth charges based on and what happened to them?

Is this article telling me that the officer sat in his car watching the Professor and a woman engage in sexual acts in Murdock park?

Finally, when I was in high school , my boyfriend and I got in trouble by police (twice - woops) for making out in the backseat. Has the law changed? Not fair. lol

Seriously though the way the article reads, it sounds like this guy was preying on poor and homeless women. Regardless of whether they agreed or not, it's still very eerie. And leads me to consider how many he harassed that didn't say yes.
