Are your dogs just lazier in the summer?
Post Body

Mine is 2yo and VERY heat intolerant. Once the weather hits 60 , he's panting up a storm and his walks are so slow and almost labored. For the last several weeks we've had heat waves and temps up to 90 . Thankfully the house is air conditioned so he's not in any danger, but he sleeps so much more and requires less exercise to tire him out.

Honestly, it's been making me feel so guilty because I feel like I'm not doing enough for him, since we've been staying inside so much. We pretty much take walks only in the evening for 1hr, and he spends time in the afternoon wandering around the yard and playing with my dad.

Are your dogs also just lazy & sleeping more in the summer? I know I'm probably over-thinking it but I just look at him and think, god am I giving you the most boring life lol

It's almost like they're warm blooded mammals.
