Becoming OP with Bernard early on.

So this is my 4th playthrough. I plan to train with Bernard after the quest ginger in the pickle until I get at least lvl 15 in warfare, strength, defence, weapon skill etc.
What happens when you leave all buffed after that. Are you too much op to anyone or does the game somehow increase opponents xp to give you a challenge?
