Day 5 was just a shake out run, day 6 was off.
Day 7 was about forty minutes. I did a two song warm up free style, just to remember what it felt like. I tried to pick up the pace to a faster rhythm which didn’t work out so well for me. I learned squat jumps with the rope (with some admittedly terrible squats) and criss cross jumps. I definitely had my fair share of trip ups but significantly less pain than I had on day 4. I tried to just have fun with it. My dog came out and ran around me for a little while. I got what should be a faster rope and it just came in the mail today, so I’ll maybe start trying double unders tomorrow. I need to keep it light though for a 5k race this week.
Does anybody have an easy rope tricks other than crossovers? Getting rhythm is still challenging for me (but improving every day) so I have an easier time manipulating the rope than my steps. I want to intermix some rope work into the stepwork I’ve been doing.
