Need advice on asking for a job offer deadline extension

Post Body

Hello!

First off, thank you in advance for the advice and I apologize if I am repeating past posts.

I recently graduated from college and have been going through the job search process. I received a job offer from a company this past Friday. They asked that I let them know my decision by this upcoming Friday (June 7). I also received an offer for an interview with another company this upcoming Thursday (June 6). I am not entirely sure if I would take the second company's offer if extended, but I would like to at least hear what they have to offer.

Should I ask the company that gave me an offer for a 1-week extension (until June 14) or should I just accept the offer? Also, if I do ask for a 1-week extension, what would you recommend I say?

Again, I apologize if I am repeating. I am very new to this and have no idea what is right and wrong.
