I'm having a big problem landing a job. I have a 2 year degree in computer science and I've spent the last 2 years working as a contract worker at a fortune 500 company in the field of 'Master Data' pretty much setting up and updating customer accounts for sales reps and fixing problems that come up. The problem is that as I'm trying to find a new job I'm running into the wall that no company wants to hire someone without a 4 year degree. I've applied to many jobs, even ones I'm not entirely qualified for just hoping for an interview. I've had my resume looked over by a few different people in different HR positions and they all say it looks good. At this point the only calls I get are from people thinking I want to get into sales selling cars/houses/insurance. How does a person with my (basic) qualifications of 2 year degree with 2 years of serious professional experience get a job that isn't, frankly, crap? I'm based in the US in the upper Midwest regionally.
