So we are setting up a small computer to be used as a small office server to host a local database and client infrastructure with syncing to OneDrive.
Well I personally built this computer, just felt like killing an afternoon this past weekend.
Deliver the computer and then put in the SSD's to be used for the RAID mirror. Reboot the machine and I can't access the Marvell Raid Card. WTF. Went into BIOS and CSM compatibility is grayed. WTF. Research and find out I didn't get the memo some Intel chips no longer support legacy booting unless there is a GPU. Well the MOBO only has a single PCI slot.
Go back into the BIOS, configure IOMMU for passthrough.
Install an instance of proxmox onto a USB
Boot proxmox and setup up VM using MBR boot
Access the Marvell Raid Console and configure the Mirror Raid through the VM console
Reboot the machine and install the drivers for the Raid Card. Windows see's the VDisk
Success :)
