McDonald's Menu Prices Have Collectively Doubled Since 2014

What is odd, though, is that the prices haven't increased that much in Canada. Does anyone know why?

Used to be that fast food was so much cheaper in the states. Just got back from a road trip to Portland and did a quick stop a McDs. The price for the same meal we get in Canada was more, and that's USD. After the exchange rate, the meals were double. Insane. How is anyone affording that in the US?
