Has going to the gastroenterologist ever actually helped anyone?

I’m 25. I’ve had 3 or 4 colonoscopies. Each time…seems like you have IBS. I’ve cut gluten out of my diet completely at this point since it’s a huge trigger for me. My mom continues to insist I see a gastroenterologist, but if people have shoved cameras into my intestines and just come out with 🤷🏽‍♀️IBS. I don’t think it’ll make a difference.

Going gluten free has SIGNIFICANTLY reduced my flare ups. But I still get them from time to time. I have IBS-M. Has a gastro ever been able to help anyone?

I also have an eating disorder that has done an unknown amount of damage to my body including leaving me with a “slow transit” colon.
