So first time Reddit poster! I’m finally on here because I came across this thread as I am staring down the barrel of a total abdominal hysterectomy (c-section). What is giving me the most anxiety right now is waiting for surgery to be scheduled. I’ve been dealing with this since October. I’m on my second gyno due to insurance purposes (had to wait for ACA plan kick in order to have some coverage for something this major) and had my surgical consultation last Tuesday. It looks like the soonest I might be scheduled for is over 3 weeks away. My belly is starting to ache, last measurement I have on mass (still unknown if cancerous but fluid inside) is from November and it’s 11cm by 11cm, last comparison is from 1 week ago and is 25 weeks enlarged. The discomfort is getting worse and bigger and I’m trying to avoid the pain part, and worse.
So what would help get my mind off it is how long did you guys have to wait from date of surgery consultation to actual date of surgery?
