Hi there!
I feel a big disconnect with my friends. We’re ~24 and they’re super focused on their careers, saving for a house and getting married and having kids at 30, more or less.
And although the future is uncertain that really doesn’t resonate with me right now, I just want to experience life, see new places, travel, etc. I’m always up for plans but they clearly have other priorities and although it’s nice when we’re together, that doesn’t happen too often and my plans being rejected is quite hard for me. I lack some deeper connection.
Does anyone have that problem?
Also I’m from a small town where I never really fit into, and I’ve been studying in Barcelona again now (it’s not too far) and I felt even more alone there where I thought I could improve my situation. I feel like people are super closed off with their own groups of friends and the people I know are busy all the time and when they’re not they mainly spend it with their SO or other close groups of non-mutual friends.
That’s why I’m afraid the same thing might happen if I move to another city to work and that “running away” might not be a solution.
