I am a property manager for Airbnb and have been doing this for a long time. However, I am constantly running into the problem of my cleaners not wanting to scrub burnt-on grease off stove tops, ovens and pots and pans. I have about 11 cleaners, and some have worked for me for 7 or more years, but for some reason they don't like to clean the burnt marks and this is every single cleaner. I heard one of my cleaners tell a new cleaner, she likes all the appliances to look brand new, as well as the pots and pans, and then they laughed.
Obviously, they know my expectations, but they act like they don't know how to clean it, even though they used to clean it just fine for years. Are my expectations too high? I grew up in a home, where the stovetop ovens and pans were scrubbed until everything shined. I expect this. They clean other area of the house just fine, it's just the kitchen burnt-on things, that are being neglected. Any suggestions?
Edited,: I think I needed to give more information. I have 11 cleaners, not had. I have many houses. Many of my cleaners have been with me for 7 years, the majority, prefer to do 2 houses a day. Pots and Pans that need scrubbing are put out of service on in and outs, nobody is scrubbing pots on in and outs. That is NOT the problem, the problem arises when there NO in and out.
My cleaners bid on the houses, they know what is expected, I am not forcing anybody to clean for a price I pulled out of the air. They bid, I accepted.
anyway, thanks for the insight. in retrospect I know what caused this. One of my owners' bought a used stove with heavy grease buildup, and we cannot for the life of us get it cleaned, and ever since then, the other houses stoves have been left with burnt grease, and I think because of that one stove, they think it's ok to leave it at the other houses. I have talked to my cleaners. Some were afraid I was firing them. I told them, no. However, if they continue down this path, they will not be my first choice when I need cleaners.
Ok, first of all, there are amazing products that clean up stove top grime in seconds! They're just being difficult 🙄
