I adooore horror, it's my favorite genre ever. But actually thinking about it, it mostly has to do with the atmosphere there is to them than the actual horror. I love getting scared, but it rarely ever happen to me anymore. I adored Martyrs, but I wasn't disturbed by it in the slightest. Eden Lake made me very upset (still enjoyed it, though) Human Centipede disgusted me, which I believe is slightly different. I Spit On Your Grave was satisfying.
I wish I could feel the feeling of watching the ending scene of Saw when I was younger again. Just realizing the horrible destiny awaiting the one left behind. Or stressing out with the characters in Final Destination or It Follows. All of whose I watched before getting really into horror, which may have to do for a lot.
