Good evening all,
I have the 50 inch pioneer Elite Kuro That is still going strong after many years and I really like the picture. I have a much more modern TV in another home, but candidly it really isn’t anywhere near as good particularly when watching films. I know there are excellent displays out there these days, I just like this and I’m in no hurry to replace it
I’ve been running it with an elite receiver and doing most of my viewing through a TiVo Romio. I know I know, I really am a blast from the past! I have pretty much everything hooked up via component video cables and the optical digital cables. I also have a Blu-ray player and a laser disc player. The TiVo unit had enough apps in it to make me really not miss a smart TV and the set up has worked well for me. But one by one the apps are deserting the traditional TiVo format. First it was HBO, last week Hulu, and Amazon prime works sometimes and not others. This is forcing my hand lol
Anyway, I’m just thinking of some options on how to add some more modern functionality without having to replace most of the set up. Any ideas from the group?
Thank you in advance!
