Hey all, first time posting here. I'm in the process of ramping up on home assistant, loving it so far. I don't have a fancy config to show off yet, but I thought my initial setup might be useful for others as a reference.

I decided to fork home-assistant and create a custom docker image that will let me continue to stay up to date by merging from upstream while also letting me tinker with the source, all the while giving me a way an easy to way to hit the big reset button and reinstall everything in a snap.

Thus far I haven't modified any of the existing files, only added my own stuff. There are some blanks you need to fill in, since I couldn't include all the configs verbatim due to sensitive information, but MY-README.md should point you in the right direction.
