Hemp flower for diverticulitis

My husband is now on his second flare up. 1st one took 4 weeks of antibiotics, 2 trips to er, $$$$$ in copay/ percentages sitting in the bill pile. He has cleaned up his eating and is taking psyllium husk everday. Its heartbreaking to watch. The intestines are full of cannabinoid receptors. 1. Any recommendations on what strains would help him. Pain/ gut health 2.. anyone have experience with this beast? **diverticulitis is an infection in protruding pockets in the colon
