I'm tired. After more than a year of dating apps and other social sites, I haven't gone out with a single guy. I feel that none of these people really take these matches seriously. Yes, I know, it's just been over a year, but it feels like an eternity already.
It's hard for us people who make an effort. I doubt many people like to start from scratch over and over again - introducing ourselves, speaking a bit about our job and hobbies and whatnots - but we still do them anyway even if it takes a hundred conversations in the hopes that the right person will come along.
But my heart is tired. Not sure if this is just a phase but it's pretty worn out. I'm at a point where all my enthusiasm died, that I see a new match a waste of a few hours in my life.
I've always longed to be with someone who will love me back, but is this ton of frustrations over forgotten messages, failed conversations, and guys who just play around worth it?
Now that my dating "fire" has been snuffed out, and a lot of people that I know are already starting their new life chapters, should I face the fact that I'll probably be alone for good?
They say there's one for everyone, but life isn't a fairy tale. Heck, he might not even exist.
