Fuck fast food. Idk why I keep going back. Hell it’s not that I even hate the work, it’s just merely existing in the other side of the building that’s emotionally and especially spiritually taxing.
Though last night I had to clean the grills, as well as put the extra raw meat away, chop up the extra cooked beef for chili meat, and help clean the floors.
I was almost finished with the last grill before moving onto the rest of the stuff when this other guy we’ll call E, wants to go from dishes to cleaning the floors suddenly.
So I get swapped over to dishes instead of floors and there’s a mountain of dishes, some of which being there for over an hour, plus the bottom of the sink is layered with grease and crud and stuff. So I spent the last two hours of my shift last night on dishes alone and everyone else was already done (no surprise).
Plus E burnt himself on one of the fryers yesterday since he was tasked with cleaning them but was taking his time about it. I didn’t get to see the burn myself but I’d say it was probably first degree, second at best. Well when I called in today to go job hunting I found out he was gone the rest of the week due to injuries. Maybe he had something else but idk, since I was working with him the past three shifts
