Newbie looking for real connections

I recently moved to Hanoi, 35M from the US and need some feedback from others living here. I’ve met a few girls for dinner and drinks but they want to go to a specific club and order bottle service which seems dumb for just 2 people. Feels like a scam where they get kickbacks? I don’t want to assume every girl here is a scammer but now I’ve gotten to the point I straight up tell them not to waste my time if they are playing games. How do you decipher the sincere girls from the scammers?
