Drilling through Metal clad door
Post Body

So I have french door on my back deck..it's essentially a thick piece of metal on either side of a wood door. I need to drill a hole into it, for a new lock.. old lock just had the handle. The new one has a hole a few inches up, I'm assuming to keep themlock mechanism from spinning etc. Any case how do I drill through it. I figure I'll get a hole punch, bang a spot in.. then drill.. but no idea what type of drill bit the hole needs to be 3/8 wide... I have a regular drill.. and a craftsman 19.2v
