Seeing this post I was struck by how near the one presented there looked like the one that was given to me by my grandfather at least 30 years ago. He found this one in a fine woodworker's tool chest. And gave it to me as it is.
I'm postponing it's new scales for over a year now, they are cut and pretty near to their finished shapes, I'd just have to drill put pins and finish those, but I've known him like that for most of my life so I'm taking my time...
