Hey all. Been spending most the day scouring forums and doing google searches trying to get a hackintosh install going, but it's been hard due to my complete lack of access to an Apple computer, thus having to rely on premade iso files that I can't figure out how to alter.
Apparently I need to get the OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi added to my iso, but can't seem to figure out how to edit the ISO to do so.
System is i7-6850k, Gigabyte x99 Phoenix SLI, 32GB RAM, 512GB SAMSUNG 850 EVO SATA SSD, Gigabyte Geforce 970 Windstream OC. Tried loading optimized settings in BIOS, as well as manually setting. No dice.
Tried Olirila's guide and files, but ran into kernel panics / other errors. Tried running a VMWare version of high sierra to attempt to edit iso files in mac format, but couldn't get that working either. Tried the -v nv_disable#1 command in options with no luck too.
Thoughts, suggestions, or guides on how newbs to hackintoshing without access to a mac can make stuff work would be appreciated.
UPDATE:
Managed to add the OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi file to the EFI image file... but can't figure out how to create a USB partition of the EFI from file on Windows (.img), then a partition from my MacOS image file (.hsfx).
I can create a EFI partition on the USB drive via diskpart, but windows doesn't like me trying to copy paste the files / it stays empty.
Suggestions?
