I'd just like to so thanks in advance if anyone takes the time to help me out a bit.
My father passed away and because of that I'm now in possession of his two firearms. One of them is Ruger P89 which I'm at least familiar with. The other one though is a Baikal IJ-70 Makarov. I'm not familiar at all or have even heard of this manufacturer and my attempts at trying to pull up any information to help identify it has just made things more confusing. There is apparently multiple different Makarov that are (I guess?) nearly identical other than where they came from - East German, Russian, Bulgarian etc.. I'm not well studied in the very broad field of firearms/firearm history so I thought this might be one of the best places to look for some help on the topic.
I can give all the markings and identification I can see on the slide and frame and any images if requested.
Thanks for you time.
