yes i live in one of those states with crappy restrictive gun laws. for all firearms purchases a "permit to acquire" is required, even for private sales.

when doing private sales you are supposed to take down the permit number of the buyer and send in their contact info, along with their permit number and firearm serial number to the police department to notify the PD of the sale.

the buyer is supposed to go down the PD within two days and change the registration to their name

when i sold the gun to the buyer he said he had a permit, just that he left it at home. i told him to text/email me the number as soon as he got home so i could take it down and send it to the PD.

well a week went by with no word from him so i emailed him. turns out he didnt have a permit but was planning to get one soon. i told him to let me know as soon as he got it.

its been 3 weeks so i've tried texting, emailing and calling him and he hasnt been reply. im getting a bit nervous.

i dont want to get in trouble with the police for some bs law about selling firearms to people without permits...
