Hi everyone, my name is Kevin and I decided recently that I want to get back into playing. I used to have a MIM Fender strat several years ago that I sold (and regret, but oh well). Anyway, I didn't want to spend a whole ton of cash so I ended up doing some trading at a local pawn shop and ended up with an Ibanez RG series RG2EX2 electric guitar. It sounded nice at the shop so I brought it home. The white with black hardware really grabbed my attention. I also like how it doesn't have a "whammy bar", which I never used on my old guitars anyway.
I have an amp and cable I can borrow for now, but I will want to get my own eventually. Any recommendations on a decent practice amp and cable? Nothing too huge; just something that won't sound completely like crap. I would like it to have some kind of built in distortion. For a cable, is there a huge difference in quality between them? I'll take any recommendations there too!
Kevin
