Unable to I send a message even though I’m now unlimited

O want to I send some pics I sent an hour ago and have upgraded to unlimited to do so. When I hold the pic and click I send it simply asks me to upgrade again.
Can I not unsend messages sent before I went to unlimited ? If so it’s a con because it doesn’t mention that bit.
If I can . Dan anyone advise how please ?
