My aunt doesn’t take care of her bird and I don’t k is how to help him
Post Body

My aunt is normally a good person, except for when she just rushes into pets without researching it.

2 or 3 years ago she bought a green cheek, his name is Charlie and I adore him. He’s the sweetest and cuddliest bird ever.

She doesn’t take care of him though, he’s alone in a small cage, with a fabric hide, they never take him out of his cage and the only time they interact with him is to tell him to shut up when he’s yelling.

Also he bites them, but he’s never bitten me.

Whenever I go to her house I take him out and cuddle with him the whole time. I dance with him and I even made him his own song.

I want to adopt him more than anything, but I have 2 big dogs and my mom refuses, I try to tell her he can stay in my room and I’ll take care of him.

My aunt won’t give him up though, last time I asked she went on a rant about how she spent 400$ on him and that she loves him.

I’ve taken him for a month before and he was the happiest I’ve ever seen him.

I cry every time I think of that poor bird. I love him so much.

What do I do?

Edit: sorry about the typo in the title
