Lakeshore East Line - No Service This Weekend

I just found out the LE line is closed all weekend. Shuttle buses are replacing trains from Oshawa GO - Pickering GO, then straight to Union Station.
I would love to be in the meeting when this decision was made. Of all weekends to do this? Nuit Blanche and so many other events going on today and Sunday?
Guess I'll drive. Don't get mad Downtown Toronto, and anti-car mobs.
