Bought a weekend day pass but I chose the wrong station. Does this matter?

First time taking the GO and I bought a weekend day pass. Was hoping to go to West Harbour Station but I chose Hamilton City Hall. Does this matter?
Do the day passes allow me to go to any destination I choose? Iām confused why the website asked me to choose a departure and arrival for a day pass.
