So, I've started playing Planetside 2 again during this lockdown and of course in doing so I thought: "Now here's some untapped ASMR potential!". You know, as we all do when we play a new game, right guys? Gals?

Well, anyways, after many a time livin' free as an NC engineer, sitting in our deserted base, fixin' up all the terminals, shield, generators and what not by myself for those sweet sweet repairing points, only to be rudely interrupted by some very stealthy, albeit very good looking, Terran Empire and Vanu Sovereignty women in their cloaker catsuits looking for some poor low level sap like me to take out their pent up rage on, I realized that there could be a good script in here somewhere.

What if instead of just turning you into swiss cheese like usually, your uninvited guest was looking for someone like you to capture and interrogate using any means, and I mean any means, necessary to get intel for an upcoming attack on your compound. They'd probably spook you, and start a chase (because it just wouldn't be fun otherwise), but of course you aren't able to make it back to the safe room in time before our spec ops lady is able to catch you. She then knocks you out, and drags you back to a waiting cloked transport back to base where the fun can *really get going.

On a more serious note, one of the main reasons I was thinking of this was that I've listened to some great ASMR's where the listener is in a war and is hunted down by someone on the other side, and forced to help or taken as a prize. But I can tell that a lot of people are apprehensive of the subject, which is very understandable. So why not do the same thing, but put it in the planetside universe? That way, it can be a little more light hearted, while still hopefully preserving the pretense of those kinds of stories.

The nice thing about the planetside universe, is that you get such different flavors from each faction:

You could have the NC (Basically space America) treating you in the kind of bad cop good cop way, or maybe even tempting you somehow to give up the info.

You have the Terran Republic, who would take great pleasure in squeezing that info out of you bit by bit, showing you whose boss until you just give up and submit.

Or (my personal favorite) you have the Vanu Sovereignty, who just want to open your eyes to the glory that is the Vanu, using their alien tech on you to aid you in seeing the light, and "helping you" understand that telling them is just the right thing to do, for the good of us all.

Phew, so many possibilities. If I had to choose though, I'd go with Vanu kidnapping some poor field tech just doing his job at the base. But really, I don't want to limit creativity, so hey, do what sounds good to you. Even do a F4F, M4F, M4M: I may only listen to F4M, but I'd be happy to know I gave someone a good idea at least.

Some people have pointed out that Planetside is a bit obscure, which is true. But the nice thing is the lore is about an inch deep and not much wider, which is why I think this makes a great setting for these types of stories. Really, the above three descriptions of the factions is about 90% of the in game lore, and is really all that's required to understand the universe. In my opinion, a perfect canvas for some creative mind(s) to have some fun with!
