I have a friend of mine who is planning on starting playing golf. I would play with my own insight, and I know this:
he plans on taking two or three lessons from an instructor. He is a decent athlete, so I did not think he needed much more to start a basic foundation. If needed, he will take one or two more.
at the moment, I would really like to show him the finer points of etiquette, the things that make golf fun, and tell him not to make a douche bag by doing simple stuff wrong.
he is near multiple areas where he can go to a driving range, putting green, and play either nine or 18 holes.
I have not seen his clubs, shoes, balls, or anything. He probably has hacker stuff (who didn’t) However, I did tell him he would lose at least half of his premium golf balls.
he’s a little bit younger than me. It took me a long time to make a decent score, (<95) I want to get him going right so he can built good habits.
I think he could be very good . Do you think do you can give him further advice to start his journey in slapping the ball around?
Thanks. Drive for show, putt for dough
