I wish the rule was never changed because I can't stand putting with the flagstick in.
Post Body

I have been playing golf for almost 30 years and I absolutely cannot get used to putting with the flagstick in.

I'm not sure if people just leave it in now to help pace of play or if they think the pin gives them a backstop, as if they were going to drill it dead center but with too much speed!

I play alone frequently so there is no issue on those rounds. Rounds with friends, I tell them I don't putt with the pin in. However, I have been playing with strangers frequently lately because I am bouncing around, trying to decide on a club to join, and I feel like a dick when I'm the only one that wants it pulled.

The hole looks 10x bigger to me with the flagstick out and I don't think I'll ever get used to it staying in.

Do you golf people prefer to putt with the pin in or do you pull it?
