Post Body

Would any of you experienced with GIS take a position with a government entity where the pay ranges from $57,000 to start and caps out at $80,000 USD? The benefits are super awesome, cheap, and the pension is amazing but I feel like it's a low offer.

Edit to update: This is at a department I used to work for. They have had a revolving door of people who have moved to higher paying jobs in GIS apparently. When I talked to them, they stated that most people start at the bottom as you would expect but is also DOE so it could be higher.
