Trouble exporting to PDF

Wondering if anyone can help me. I've been accessing ArcMap 10.6 via remote desktop and I am trying to export the map to a pdf. Unfortunately, the option to export to pdf is just not showing up. When I'm in the office and not connected remotely it works fine. I also have arcmap on my laptop computer but it runs painfully slow. I can export to pdf on that. But it's taking about an hour or two. I don't know what to do?
