I feel like I need to post this to help me move on.
I met someone online through a shared internet community. We were subtly flirting through the community for a couple of months. He sent me a friend request through Discord and we started talking and it was honestly great. It was one of those weird instant connection and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Then, he ghosted me a couple of days ago. I've never been ghosted nor have I ghosted anyone. Why do I feel more hurt by this than when I was cheated on? I constantly question every messages I've sent and everything I've done. The saddest thing is, along with losing this person, I feel like I lost the community I was a part of. It hurts so much when I see his messages on that community when I know that we'll never talk 1:1 again.
Thanks,
Subreddit
