What era/decade of music would you consider to be "your time"?

I was born in 1999 and in terms of music, I would consider "my time" to be from the mid-00s (maybe 2005?) up until today, but starting to fizzle out now. So I guess anywhere from the mid-00s through the 10s.
I asked my mom the same question. She was born in 1969, so I expected her to say "her time" was the mid-70s through the 80s, but she said she would consider her time to be the 90s. My 1964-born Dad also said the 90s.
