How necessary is cardio for cutting?

5'9 291lbs. I lift 5 days a week on a Upper body,Lower body split the first 2 days and then a PPL split the next 3 days.(I do this as a way to get myself to go to the gym 5 days and stay consistent) I live in a moderately walkable city. So I walk everywhere, and I clear about 12K to 15K steps daily. Just reduced my calories down to 2100 as a way to cut.

I'm just wondering how necessary cardio is to weight loss, especially knowing that I'd prefer not to do it before lifting and I don't usually have the energy after lifting to do it. Should I just push through on my upper body/push/pull days and do cardio after? or is the walking and lifting enough?

I get that adding additional cardio can speed up the cut. Just want to know if it's worth it.
