I just started using the Gateway tapes and I'm on Wave 1 Track 2, and I'm also reading Journeys Out of the Body.

I'm having this realization that I may have experienced OBEs multiple times throughout my life but just haven't known that they were OBEs. I had one such experience that was an "alien abduction," which started out as a lucid dream but was also was something entirely different (the "dream" was induced by the beings, who admitted to doing it, and I was able to recognize that and "push" the dream away, exposing the alien entities behind the cover of the dream). It turned into an experience where I got into an altercation with these beings and I experienced what felt like electrical shocks until I passed out in that state and woke up in my physical body.

Also following a Bufo experience, for several months, I had some things happen to me that I can only classify as OBEs after reading JOotB, some of which were pleasant and some of which were not pleasant at all. I'm wondering if the Bufo "dislocated" my second body away from my physical one, or if my second body already had a "looser" connection with my physical body as indicated by the "alien abduction."

Would the "alien abduction" be an OBE? Do conscious OBEs happen easier for people who may have already experienced them? Do some people have a predilection to them? So many questions...
