I walk by these crepe myrtle trees everyday and they are just so beautiful to look at!

Any tips and tricks on care to get them to look like this? The ones in my yard are still not showing any flowers. I see buds but they almost look dried out. I have been in the house for a year and they bloomed in July last year, but this year they almost look like they are only going to show leaves and no flowers.
