Why is everything based on money, and not making a legitimately good game anymore?
Post Body

I've only been gaming for the past 22 years or so, but I've seen a trend. A disgusting, horrible, irreversible trend that has started destroying the gaming industry that we all know and love.

Developers are constantly creating half-assed, broken, unstable games that will net them more income than they spent on it. That's it. They don't support them anymore. They don't create a game without issues. They take a good idea, make a shell, and then give us glimpses of something that could be great. With that, they shell it, and deliver us bullshit. They deliver us laggy servers, they deliver us bad hit registration. Glitches run rampant, issues are everywhere. The people complain endlessly... Whatever. The company spent $x on the game, and made $xx. They don't care. They genuinely don't give a shit.

This might seem like a useless rant, but if you look at games over time, this trend might seem like something you've had to deal with over the past couple of years.
