Hello!
I am a regular citizen scientist (no trading but I investigate and observe everything that interests me) and have been fascinated by the idea of fusion energy for decades. I recently heard an NPR spot about the progression of a fusion reactor being made at Devens, Massachusetts; they mostly talked about their success (finally) of building a workable magnetic encapsulation.
They made it sound as if they would have a successful reaction within a year or two.
They also mentioned that there are ~24 companies currently working on making fusion power a reality! This excited me very much!
So, my question is for you fine people working on fusion: are we really almost there?!?!
