Ive been looking at both these laptops for some time as i really need to replace my 2010 dell latitude. For a while now ive been leaning towards the framework however the insperions are now on sale meaning i can get a much more powerful machine for a very simular price.
the configs im debating:
insperion 15 high spec £883 ,8core i7, rtx3050ti4gb, 512gb m.2, 8 gig ram(it has slotted memory so if i decide i need more i can get another 8 gig for about £30), Link
insperion 15 middle spec £679, 6core i5, gtx16504gb, 512gb m.2 and same about the ram Link
Framework,(1119$/£830) ~£850 i guess once available in the UK, 4core i5 ,16gig ram, 1tb sn750
As a student my needs would be studying, programming, light cad usage and light gaming however my needs may soon shift in upcoming years. i do have a desktop which i use for heavier games, an sff optiple 7010 with a 1050ti and older i7 which meets my needs now but in the next few years may need replacing and i may no longer have the space for a desktop so a capable laptop would be very useful.
Finding the choice difficult as i predict the frameworks price will increase to account for shipping ect in europe i reckon it may well be march/april before it'd be in my hands however i love the idea but in comparison to what i can get for a simular price .... On the other hand having borrowed a friends insperion they are too, great laptops and for the same price i can have a high end one or for about £200 less i can have one still more powerful than the framework and having looked at the manuals for them they too can be repaired and upgraded with relative ease however the one thing stopping me from rushing for it is the ability to find a replacement battery when itll need replacing. then again i can order it now , with it in hand very soon.
Any advice appreciated :D
