Hi guys! Im new around here. I started collecting fountain pens not to long ago. My first pen being a blue Esterbrook pen with a 5226 2556 Nib, inked with Diamond Twilight.
I go to my local flea market every month. I think I found some good stuff!
A Platinum Pocket Pen from Japan. Color black with an 18k fold nib. It's really light weight, and uses cartridges that Platinum still sells. The vendor i bought it from said she found it in a collection of other japanese fountain pens from an estate, it belonged to a Japanese man that used to do some work for Datsun(now known as Nissan). This was the only one she had but she said she would bring more next month. Got it for $10.00
A Sheaffer Targa pen. It's a really nice color pattern, black with bronze or gold swirls going through it. 14k gold nib. I cleaned it out today, these things hold a lot of ink! Cleaning the sack out took a little while. Got it for $13
Esterbrook Type J. In green, it looked to be brand new! Still had the box, and had a tag on it. The nib reads 9668, which if I understand is Esterbrooks line of Osmiridian tipped nibs.
Any information or corrections on info will be greatly appreciated! How did I do?
