We want to foster to adopt a teen, but Iām interested on hearing the teenās perspective. Do you truly want to be adopted? One thing that has made me hesitate is that, in our state, foster teens who age out of the system get free college, but we wouldnāt be able to fully cover the cost of college if we adopted - we plan to put most or all of the monthly āolder kidā adoption stipend we would receive into a college fund, but since weād be adopting a teen, weād only have a few years to save up.
