Helping new players (NOT WHAT U THINK)

Post Body

Last night a lvl 40 asked me for help finishing the quest inside vault 79, but since I completed that ages ago, either I couldn’t help him or just couldn’t figure out how to get there instead of straight to the gold room. Since he asked me to help him finish the quest but I seemingly couldn’t I brought him to my camp and crafted him a lvl 40 fixer 2 star and didn’t bother rerolling. It was vampire & 50% more crit. Plus 700 or so .45 rounds.

Now with all the posts about vets handing out anything and everything to every new vault dweller I thought I’d share this as an example of the kind of help that encourages the community sentiment without handicapping new players with instant gratification.

He didn’t ask for loot he asked for help and when I couldn’t I gave him something to help him beat the quest but nothing crazy. He’ll eventually scrip it or stash it but it also made a difference in the short term.
