I heard about a conspiracy theory that the U.S government uses HAARP to deviate hurricanes away from Tampa because it contains MacDill Airforce Base, one of the most important military bases in the U.S. I also heard about a local legend that the Tocobaga tribe built mounds hundreds of years ago that protected the area from hurricanes. They supposedly blessed the mounds for protection and other natural hazards. 1921 and 1848 were the last times that Tampa was hit by a hurricane. What do you think that Tampa Bay has much more luck with getting spared by hurricanes at the last moment than the rest of Florida and the Gulf region in general? Does this make the Tampa Bay Area the least prepared region in Florida in for hurricanes?
I'm just someone who has lived on the Gulf Coast for decades. If you can't handle a 100 mph hurricane, you should move back to whatever blue state you moved here from.

A Cat 3 is equivalent to a bad Thunderstorm 111 mph winds. I said it up there and I'll say it here, if you are scared of a cat 3 you should just permanently evacuate.
