This is my view. Vance has zero personal values, is nakedly political and willing to bend the knee to Trump if it means securing power. Trump is more worried about massaging his own ego and maintaining his image. The people around him are using Trump to get their own policy proposals set in stone, and one way to do that is to fill out the roster from head to toe with loyalists.
