Omega ruins treasure mini game

So I have no encounters on a piece of armor and im goimg to attempt this mini game already have a save before the temple but my question is this. I need to pull all the chests in a group with no mimic to count right? What if my last chest in a group is mimic? Can I still fight it and still be able to get the warp spheres at the end or no mimics at all? Any help is appreciated thank you!
