Shopping for clothes during the pandemic?
Post Body

[We can agree to disagree that my level of caution against the virus is appropriate, but basically, going to a retail store to try stuff on is out of the question for me.]

So far, I have a few pairs of heels that I found on ebay over the years, because I used to obsessively look for cheap ones (~$30 each) in the styles I liked, and I have the one pair of tights that I got for $2 from a grocery outlet. However, heels and tights are hardly a complete look, despite my best efforts

My main options now are online shopping, and retail stores that also sell men's clothes (because I kind of need some of those too, and also because my mom would be suspicious if I went out shopping for clothes and didn't have anything to show her).

I did some simple searches on ebay for thigh-high socks, but the variety of results was kind of overwhelming for a first timer lol. I'm looking for a cheapish pack of several pairs that are relatively low key (preferably darker solid colors, thinner than normal cotton socks, but not shear like lingerie). Would I have more luck finding these online or somewhere like Target?

My underpants (boxer briefs) are pretty masculine and functional except when I'm trying to wear tights over them, because the underpants relatively long legs bunch up uncomfortably. I saw an ad for "stealthskyn" underwear on facebook, but I'm always skeptical of facebook ads. However, it turned my
attention to boxer briefs with shorter legs or just briefs. Not sure about getting panties yet, but if you have a suggestion of something that's cute and still functional, I wouldn't mind giving it more thought :3

As for other stuff, ideally I'd be trying stuff on at stores, but I wonder if anyone knows about stuff that doesn't need to be tried on to know it fits well? If not, I'll probably end up trying to learn how to mangle old shirts into cute tops, and maybe shortening old pants or converting them into skirts. If anyone already knows of someone who makes how-to videos about this kind of thing, please let me know!
